Suomalaisen perheen yhteisen sukunimen lyhyt historia

Viimeistään 1900-luvulta lähtien on ajateltu, että yhteinen sukunimi symboloi suomalaista perhettä julkisissa yhteyksissä ja muodostaa perheenjäsenten yhteisen identiteetin perustekijän. Suomen lainsäädännön mukaan naiset olivat kuitenkin velvollisia ottamaan aviomiehensä sukunimen vain lyhyen aikaa, 1930-luvulta 1980-luvulle ulottuvalla ajanjaksolla. Pohdin artikkelissani, miksi 1800-luvun lopun ja 1900-luvun alkuvuosikymmenten ajatusmaailma vaikutti hyvin pitkään suomalaisten sukunimistöön. peerReviewed

La dimensione onomastica della cosiddetta “Trilogia fantastica” di Andrea Camilleri è costituita da un misto di evocazioni mitologiche, di residui leggendari, di storie popolari raccontate alla fiamma serale, dove il reale incontra il favolistico. Maruzza Musumeci (2007), Il casellante (2008), Il sonaglio (2009), la raccolta di romanzi nota come «trilogia delle metamorfosi» per definizione dello stesso Camilleri, rappresenta una sorta di diversivo consapevole rispetto alle altre scelte di genere. Molto si è scritto sulla “lingua horcynusa” di Stefano D’Arrigo e del suo maestoso Horcynus Orca, romanzo in cui si battezza un nuovo codice linguistico fondato sulla stratificazione e sulla neologia virtuosistica il cui scopo non è tanto indicare con precisione, quanto evocare. Assai meno studiato, probabilmente per il ricorso ad una lingua asciutta, scientifica, quasi anonima, risulta il romanzo epigono della sua carriera letteraria, Cima delle nobildonne, apparso dopo una lunga pausa decennale nel 1985. Il saggio presenta e discute due documenti testamentari di Francesco II Moncada (1569-1593) e sua madre Luisa de Luna y Vega (1553-1620), che amministrarono la città di Caltanissetta, nella Sicilia centrale, facendone sede del loro mecenatismo. I documenti presentano due ricchi elenchi di cavalli allevati nel casino di caccia di Mimiani e «mercati de lo merco della racza Moncada». La maggior parte dei cavalli non viene identificata solo attraverso le caratteristiche fisiche anche attraverso i nomi. The paper deals with geographical names in Silesia deriving from the names of tree species. An analysis of the names derived from appellatives, allows for a reconstruction of the categorization methods of the world, anthropological conceptualization, and a popular image of reality. The typology of styles allows the inclusion of research on stylistic nomenclature within the research on text style, an author’s individual style, as well as type styles. This article discusses the three Finnish city names Helsinki, Espoo, and Vantaa, and the urban discourses that surround them. The study reveals patterns of socio-spatial differentiation by examining what meanings people attach to these capital region cities and investigating how these meanings are expressed in online discourses.
